The United States Padel Association (USPA) is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for athletes wishing to represent the US National Team at the upcoming FIP World Championships. The prestigious event will take place from October 28 to November 3, 2024, in Doha, Qatar. This is an exceptional opportunity for top US padel players to showcase their skills on an international stage. Each team will consist of eight players, and the players will compete as a nation head-to-head with the other competing countries in a three-match format.
Who Can Apply?
This call is open to all Padel players both amateur and professional that are US citizens, including seasoned professionals who have previously competed at international levels, such as the 2022 FIP World Championships where the USA women’s team finished 12th. We are looking for players who demonstrate exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and the determination to represent our country with pride.
Qualification Rounds:
Should the US National Team need to participate in qualifying rounds prior to the championships, players will also be selected and expected to compete in these critical matches. Details of the qualifying rounds will be provided to players once FIP has informed the USPA.
Application Process:
Interested players are required to fill out an application form to indicate their interest and eligibility. This form is a crucial first step in the selection process, where players will be evaluated based on their performance, rankings, and potential to contribute to the team’s success on the world stage.
