The United States Padel Association (USPA) is thrilled to announce the launch of the Inter Club Cup, one of the first events on the 2025 USPA Tournament Calendar. This exciting new inter-club tournament invites USPA member clubs to bring their teams to compete in a world championships-style format, to be played indoors at U-Padel in Magnolia, Texas, from January 24th – 26th, 2025.
USPA President Martin Sweeney shared his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “I am very excited to launch the Inter Club Cup. This will be the first event of its kind for the USPA and will bring players across various levels of ability to represent their club. The tournament will use a player’s WPR to ensure fair competition, and it will be exciting to see players competing as a team against other clubs.”
This event will mark an important milestone in US padel. It will offer a unique platform for players to compete on behalf of their clubs, bringing camaraderie and team spirit to the forefront of the competition. The USPA looks forward to welcoming teams nationwide and witnessing the exceptional talent and sportsmanship that will define the inaugural Inter Club Cup.
Join us in Texas and be part of padel history in the making!

World Padel Rating (WPR) Requirements
- The USPA has adopted WPR as its official player rating. A player’s initial WPR is calculated when they register at www.worldpadelrating.com and is then verified by their club or through match play. As players play matches, their WPR adjusts based on their results.
- The players’ WPR on December 13th (the entry deadline) will determine eligibility. Player changes are permitted until January 17th.
- Each club versus club match will consist of three doubles matches (Lines 1, 2, and 3), with each player’s WPR in the ranges shown below. The WPR range is for each player; it is not the pair’s average WPR. Players may play up a line, but they may not play down.
- For example, John is a WPR 12.50, he could play at line 2, or line 1 in the men’s/co-ed division.
- Sarah is a WPR 10, and she could play in line 1 of the Women’s division or line 2 or line 1 of the men’s/co-ed division.
- For players without a WPR profile, free profiles can be created at World Padel Rating.
