The United States Padel Association (USPA) is excited to announce the 2025 Age Group Circuit, bringing expanded opportunities, more competition, and a restructured ranking system to padel players across the country seeking to play against players of similar ages. With new categories, a larger schedule of events, and increased accessibility, this year’s circuit is set to be the most inclusive and competitive in USPA history.
What’s New for 2025?
1. Expanded Age Categories:
The 2025 circuit introduces three divisions each for men and women:
- Men’s: M35+, M45+, M55+
- Women’s: W35+, W45+, W55+
This expanded structure ensures that players of all skill levels and ages have opportunities to compete in their respective categories while pushing themselves to new heights.
2. Revamped Ranking System:
Rankings will now be calculated based on a best-four-results formula rather than the previous best-of-three method. This update rewards consistency and gives players more opportunities to compete and improve their standings throughout the year.
3. Tiers of Competition:
The 2025 Age Group Circuit offers a three-tier tournament structure, catering to all levels of players:
- Age Group Local Tournaments (250 points):
The new category of Local tournaments are perfect for players looking to get started in competition. They offer accessible entry points with no USPA membership required. These events are designed to be one day tournaments and help grow the sport while introducing new players to the circuit. There are many Age Group Locals spread across the country scheduled for 2025. - Age Group Regional Championships (1000 points):
Seven premier events spread across geographic regions allowing players to travel and compete against strong competition, and earn higher ranking points. These two day tournaments will feature competitive matches and be hosted at venues committed to providing a great experience. - Age Group National Championship (1500 points):
The most prestigious event of the year, this three-day championship crowns national champions and awards the highest points on the circuit. It’s open to all players and now takes place September 12–14 at U-PADEL in The Woodlands, Texas—a prime venue for top-level competition.
