The United States Padel Association (USPA) has unveiled exciting updates to the 2025 Nox USPA Circuit, refining tournament structures, and player eligibility to elevate competitive padel across the country. With a focus on accessibility, player development, and international alignment, these changes aim to enhance the experience for all participants.

Key Updates for the 2025 USPA Circuit

Major Tournament Adjustments

• The US Open Padel Championships, first held in 2024, will return in 2025 as a USPA Circuit event, continuing to offer divisions D2, D3, and D4 to ensure broad participation.
• The four USPA Majors will now be classified as USPA 2000 events while maintaining divisions D2, D3, and D4.

Integration with FIP Tournaments

• The USPA is working with clubs to add a number of FIP Cupra Tour Tournaments in the second half of the year, these will be displayed on the USPA calendar but will operate strictly under FIP Cupra Tour rules and will not award USPA ranking points.
• To avoid scheduling conflicts, FIP tournaments will not take place on the same dates as USPA 2000 or 1000 events.

Entry Selection & Seeding Updates

• Tournament division selection and seeding will be completed using the Top 300 FIP Rankings, followed by USPA Rankings. Then, draw selection will be completed using the pair’s average Verified World Padel Rating (WPR).
• To compete in Division 1, players must have a verified WPR profile.
• USPA tournaments are open to both domestic and international players.
• USPA membership is required for all tournaments, except USPA 100 events, which do not require a paid membership.

Expansion of Co-Ed & Mixed Categories

• USPA 250 and USPA 100 tournaments now have the option of offering Co-Ed and Mixed Categories.
• Results from these categories will count toward WPR ratings but will not contribute to USPA gender-based rankings.
• Players may compete in both a mixed/co-ed category and a gender-specific category (e.g., Co-Ed D1 and Men’s D1), but cannot enter two divisions in the same category (e.g., Men’s D2 and Men’s D3).

Membership & Account Requirements

• All players must have both a USPA and WPR account to participate in USPA tournaments.
• USPA 100 and Age Group Local tournaments are open to non-members, ensuring greater accessibility to new players. For both levels, tournaments are encouraged to complete them in one day.
