The wait is over. On October 1st, National Padel Month kicks off, and a new tool makes finding your first clinic just a few clicks away.
Starting on Thursday, the United States celebrates its first-ever National Padel Month, a month-long, industry-wide initiative led by USA Padel alongside industry partners and member clubs. First announced in June, National Padel Month is designed to introduce padel to new players and communities, celebrate elite competition, and recognize the people and organizations driving the sport’s growth.
The month rests on three pillars: learn-to-play programming at clubs across the country, the US Open Padel Championships, and the inaugural USA Padel Awards. And to make that first step onto the court easier than ever, USA Padel is launching the New Player Program Finder, powered by Padel Browser.
“National Padel Month is about one simple goal: getting more players playing padel, more often! Our member clubs have built something special, and the New Player Program Finder makes it easier than ever for newcomers to find a welcoming place to start. Whether you are coming to watch the US Open or picking up a racquet for the first time, October is your invitation to join the fastest-growing sport in the country,” said Bill Ullman, President of USA Padel.
Find Your First Clinic: The New Player Program Finder
The heart of National Padel Month is getting new players on court. The New Player Program Finder powered by Padel Browser brings beginner programming from clubs across the country into one place, so anyone curious about padel can quickly find a welcoming place to start.
At launch, the Finder lists nearly 80 clubs in 25 states, from Brooklyn, Boston, and Miami to Austin, Denver, Las Vegas, and the Bay Area. Each listing shows the club’s location, number of courts, USA Padel club status, and the specific beginner programs on offer, with a link through to full club details.
Programs are built for true beginners, and many are free. Options include:
- Intro clinics: such as “Intro to Padel” and “Padel 101” sessions for first-timers
- Free trial sessions: offered by clubs, including Padel39, Padel Club Austin, North Texas Racquet Club, Jam Padel, Proximo Padel, Padel AZ, and many more.
- Multi-week beginner programs: like LTP-Daniel Island’s five-week Padel 101 and The Club at Monroe’s three-week Learn Padel Fast clinic
- Beginner socials and open play: where new players can meet others at their level
- National Padel Month specials: such as Terra Padel’s Intro to Padel offer in Katy, Texas
Whether you have watched padel online, spotted a new court in your neighborhood, or heard a friend rave about it, October is the perfect time to try it. Open the Finder, choose a club near you, and book your first session.
How to Get Involved
There is a place for everyone in National Padel Month:
- New players: Find a beginner clinic near you with the New Player Program Finder.
- Current players: Bring a friend to their first session, and follow the US Open action from Brooklyn.
- Clubs: Join USA Padel and share your beginner programming so new players can find you.
- Everyone: Follow USA Padel on Instagram and share your first-time moments throughout October.
Padel is played on an enclosed court roughly a third the size of a tennis court, with walls in play, and players of all ages can enjoy a rally within minutes of picking up a racquet. This October, there has never been a better time to start.
