ANNOUNCEMENT: USPA Host Tournament in New Jersey!

USPA Circuit Prize Money Allocation

Prize money is awarded at select high-level tournaments on the USPA circuit. The total purse and distribution by round are determined by the USPA and are based on the number of players entered in each Division 1 draw, and thus the number of seeded teams.

At each placement level, prize money is awarded equally to men and women. The men’s and women’s winners receive the same amount, and if runners-up are paid, they too receive equal amounts across both divisions.

However, the number of prize money recipients may differ depending on the size of the draw. For example, if the men’s Division 1 draw has four seeds, prize money will be awarded through the semifinals. If the women’s draw has only two seeds, prize money may be awarded only to the winner and runner-up. This scaling ensures fairness based on the size and depth of competition in each draw.

All prize money will be distributed via electronic transfer the week following the tournament. Players may be required to complete a W-9 IRS tax form before payment can be issued.

In the interest of transparency, once each Division 1 draw is published, tournament organizers are required to release the specific prize money breakdown by round for openness and clarity.

The USPA Rules and Regulations dictate the number of seeds per draw. 6-11 pairs = two seeds, 12-23 pairs = four seeds, 24-64 pairs = eight seeds
