Padel Haus in Greenpoint hosted the USA Padel 2000 Ultra Open this weekend, the latest stop on the Nox USA Padel Circuit by Psycho Bunny, and the headline belongs to Brittany Dubins and Camila Ramme, who backed up their Austin title with a second straight victory.

Women’s D1: Dubins and Ramme do it again

The women’s draw had already been reshuffled before the first ball was struck, with #1-ranked players and former partners Anna Cortiles and Luice Perez splitting up to play with new teammates: Perez alongside Jordana Lujan as the top seed, Cortiles alongside Spanish import Sandra Bellver as the second seed.

Both new pairings advanced from the quarterfinals, but it was third-seeded Brittany Dubins and Camila Ramme, already Women’s D1 champions together in Austin this year, who got the job done. They edged top-seeded Perez and Lujan in a deciding-set tiebreak, 6-0, 5-7, 7-6, punching their ticket to the final.

Dubins and Ramme then took the first set of the final, weathered a fightback from Cortiles and Bellver in the second, and closed it out in the third, securing their second USA Padel 2000 title together this season and cementing Dubins and Ramme as the circuit’s hottest hands right now. 

Men’s D1: Nico and Sergio’s run stuns Brooklyn

The men’s draw was expected to be a rematch of recent finals in Las Vegas and Austin. It didn’t happen that way.

Third-seeded Nico Agritelley and Sergio Conde were on fire all weekend. After routine victories in the R16 and quarter finals, they delivered one of the tournament’s best performances in the semifinal, storming back from a set down to beat second seeds Vinny Di Francesco and Ivo Andenmatten 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, snuffing out the anticipated rematch before it could happen.

But it was the final that really struck everyone watching. Waiting for them were unseeded Baltazar Parra Heck and Juampi Andrada, who arrived with serious international credentials. They are products of the former A1 Circuit, fresh off an Asian tour, Cupra FIP Tour-level wins on their resume, and three victories on the USA Padel Circuit already this summer! The pair had just dismantled top seeds Daniel Diaz and Jose David Sanchez Serrano to reach the final, a result that sent shock waves through the draw and all in attendance, and many expected a similar result in the final.

Instead, Agritelley and Conde matched them shot for shot. Agritelley and Conde started strong and took the first set 6:2, before Parra Heck and Andrada fought back to level the match in a thrilling second-set tiebreak, which the Argentine pair won 9:7. The final set continued to be close before Parra Heck and Andrada prevailed 6-4. The final game left the crowd on the edge of their seat as Agritelley and Conde fought off three consecutive match points before losing a heartbreaker on Star Point at 5-4 in the final game.

The level Agritelley and Conde produced against that caliber of opponent left the crowd and those watching on the livestream in awe. After somewhat lopsided finals in the other circuit finals this year, this final was the match that many had been waiting for. Agritelley and Conde partnered up earlier this year and have had an impressive run of results. Whilst not taking the win, the level of performance in this tournament was one that had not been seen before, and could be a breakout moment in their partnership. With Agritelley stepping up to the USA National Team this weekend and then four of the biggest USA Padel circuit tournaments still to come this year, this could be the start of a push for the top of the rankings for Agritelley and Conde.

Conde’s part in the run adds another layer: though not a U.S. citizen, he has spent the past two years committed to the American circuit, traveling constantly to compete at clubs around the country. He has played more USA Padel tournaments over that stretch than almost anyone else on tour, regardless of nationality.

Together, the pair’s run offered a glimpse of something bigger for U.S. padel. It’s proof that a player developing here and a player building his career through the American circuit, rather than the European one, can step onto the court against internationally seasoned competition and hold their own. It’s a sign that the two paths, homegrown and European-trained, can raise the sport’s level together rather than compete for attention.

Ranking points from the Ultra Open count toward the USA Padel National Rankings and feed into the 2026 Race for the season-ending USA Padel Circuit Championships.
