FIP SILVER SAN DIEGO: WORLD-CLASS PADEL RETURNS TO AMERICA’S FINEST CITY

The Cupra FIP Tour is coming to sunny San Diego for the first time and brings together an exceptional field of international talent and rising American stars. From October 29th through November 2nd, Padel N9NE will host a FIP Silver tournament, showcasing why padel continues its explosive growth in the United States.

Men’s Draw: European Excellence Meets American Ambition

The men’s competition features a remarkable concentration of elite talent, with the top three seeds all boasting players ranked inside the FIP World Top 200.

Leading the field is the #1 seed pairing of Simon Vasquez (SWE) and Luis Oliver Artigas (ESP), bringing Scandinavian precision and Spanish flair to the California courts. Close behind, the #2-seeded duo of Miguel Gonzalez (ESP) and Albert Trillas Garcia (ESP) represents pure Spanish padel mastery. Rounding out the top three, Mariano Agustin Gonzalez San Martin (PAR) teams with Juan Ignacio De Pascual (ARG) in a South American partnership that promises technical brilliance.

American Spotlight: Homegrown Talent Takes Center Stage

Perhaps the most intriguing storyline is the United States’ representation, led by an unseeded but formidable partnership. Vinny Di Francesco, the #1-ranked USA player, joins forces with Argentina’s Octavio Alvarez. The pair recently won the FIP Bronze Austin and is the top pairing on this year’s USPA Circuit. Despite their unseeded status, this duo enters as a legitimate threat to upset the established order.

The American depth continues with Nico Agritelley, the #2-ranked USA player, fresh from the semi-finals of FIP Bronze Austin, and a second round showing at Miami Premier Padel P1/ Agritelley is pairing with his US National Team Coach, and experienced padel professional Jacobo Blanco (ESP).

Completing the compelling US storylines are Jose De Armas and Raul Ruiz, the highest-ranked all-American pairing in the draw. These two last joined forces in the qualifying rounds of Premier Padel Miami P1, and they’ll be eager to prove they belong among the elite.

Global Powerhouse: Women’s Competition Features Six Top-100 Players from Seven Nations

The women’s competition is nothing short of spectacular, featuring six players ranked inside the FIP World Top 100. A remarkable concentration of elite talent for a Silver-level event.

The #1 seeds, Carlotta Casali Vannicelli (ITA, #89) and Ariadna Cañellas Rodero (ESP, #82) and #2 seeded team of Catarina Santos (POR, #93) and Camila Ramme Coellar (MEX, #80) will both bring a high level of play and will be eager for victory.

The #3 seed pairing of Manuela Schuck Silva (BRA, #98) and Aitana Garcia Roman (ESP, #84), already has had success in the USA this year with Schuck winning the US Open Padel Championships earlier this month.

Rising Stars and Stripes

The American women are making their mark as well. Brittany Dubins, the #1-ranked USA player, partners with Anna Cortiles (ESP), who has dominated the USPA circuit this year as its top-ranked player. Dubins will be aiming for her third title on the Cupra FIP Tour. In addition, Marta Morga Alonso, the #2-ranked USA player, teams with Mexico’s Renata Martinez Becerra, and they will also be seeking valuable FIP World Ranking points.
