Padel X Crowned Champions at PCL’s America’s Cup in Sarasota

The 2025 America’s Cup, the thrilling season finale of the Padel Club League (PCL) by Alovéa, delivered an electrifying showcase of padel excellence from January 17-19 in Sarasota, Florida. Eight of the country’s top padel clubs went faced off,  culminating in Padel X making history as the first-ever America’s Cup Champions.

The tournament featured a club team format, bringing together players from across the U.S. to compete for national glory. Teams from Dallas Padel Club, Padel39, Padel X, PATL, Real Padel, The Sports Haus, Taktika, and Tempo battled through intense round-robin play, with the top teams from each group advancing to the finals.

The Sports Haus qualified for the finals by defeating Dallas Padel Club by one point. Padel X advanced from the other of the two round-robin groups to secure a place in the final and edged out The Sports Haus to claim the 2025 America’s Cup title. With the teams deadlocked at 2-2 in matches, Padel X’s strong overall performance in sets made the difference, giving them the championship victory.

Padel X Captain and Co-Founder, Nalle Grinda, reflected on the team’s journey to victory:

“We are thrilled and honored to be the first-ever Padel Club League champions! Padel X will be the first forever! It has been a great journey for a team that formed throughout the weeks the league was ongoing, with the pinnacle of the America’s Cup last weekend at The Pad in Sarasota. We almost didn’t make it there, as we lost versus Real in the group stages – but that loss is probably where our players forged their team spirit and decided they wanted to go all the way. I want to thank my players for their commitment and collaboration when I made some tough lineup choices and I want to thank RedPADEL for their organization and vision.”

The Padel Club League continues to grow as a leading interclub competition, bringing together top padel clubs from across the U.S. and Canada in organized tournament play.

Eric Vehovec, Commissioner of the PCL, expressed his excitement about the event’s success and the sport’s growth:

“This tournament was a testament to not only the energy and excitement that define padel but also to the growth of the game in North America. We’re thrilled to have hosted such an event in Sarasota, proud of all the teams for their performances, and eager to see what clubs will be America’s Cup winners of PCL seasons to come.”

With the first-ever America’s Cup in the books, the stage is set for an even bigger 2025 season. The USPA, along with its partners at RedPADEL and PCL by Alovéa, is committed to expanding interclub padel across the U.S. and providing clubs with opportunities to compete on a national stage.

A special thank you to all participating teams, fans, and sponsors for making this event a success. As padel continues to gain traction, the America’s Cup stands as a testament to the sport’s explosive growth and passionate community. For more information on future Padel Club League events, visit https://pcl.club/ or follow @padelclubleague on Instagram.
