PICK & PADEL SAN ANTONIO: JUNIOR PADEL DISCOVERY DAY

Pick & Padel San Antonio recently hosted its first Junior Padel Discovery Day in Bulverde, TX, a free event that welcomed more than 40 children from the surrounding communities in North San Antonio.

The event was designed to introduce children and teenagers to padel in a fun, welcoming, and structured environment. Throughout the afternoon, participants joined 30-minute introductory sessions led by coaches, where they learned the fundamentals of the sport while experiencing the dynamic, fun, and social nature of padel.

A key component of the event was encouraging families to register for the USPA Junior Membership (which only costs $1), helping connect new players to the broader growth of padel in the United States. The initiative also supports the continued development of youth programming at the local level.

In addition to on-court activities, the event featured vendors and a raffle with prizes such as padel gear, Pick & Padel merchandise, and gift cards, generously provided by local partners, including Dutch Bros Coffee.

“The goal was to make padel approachable and fun for families, while also creating a pathway for kids to continue playing,” said Alejandra Lopez-Toledo from  Pick & Padel. “We’re excited to keep building a strong youth community around the sport.”

Following the success of the event, Pick & Padel will continue to expand its junior offerings through clinics, camps, and long-term development programs, contributing to the growth of padel in the San Antonio area.

Pick & Padel is a family-owned club focused on growing the sport through high-quality instruction and community-driven experiences.
