The roster is set. Twenty-four amateur players, 12 men and 12 women, will represent the United States at the Pan American Open Categories, October 21-24, 2026, in Asunción, Paraguay.
The US Cat Libres National Team was built from an open call for applications that ran through the summer. Now the work shifts from selection to competition, as the team travels south to defend a proud American record at one of the region’s most popular amateur padel events.
How the event works
Cat Libres is the amateur side of the national team, open to non-professional players. Athletes compete in pairs across categories 2 through 6, and every pair earns points toward the USA’s overall team total.
The category system comes from the Argentine tournament structure, so it does not map one-to-one onto the USA Padel Circuit divisions. What it does reward is depth: a strong showing across many categories matters as much as a single title.

A winning tradition to defend
The USA arrives with a strong track record at this event. The US National Padel Team took the overall title in Cancún in 2023, and multiple American pairs have won their categories in recent years.
With 24 players spread across categories 2 through 6, this year’s squad has the depth to contend for the team total again.
Psycho Bunny proudly sponsors the US National Teams, which will compete in their custom-designed uniforms to represent the United States on the international stage.
