ANGLO AMERICAN PADEL CUP ANNOUNCE EVENT AND US PLAYER APPLICATION PROCESS

The inaugural Anglo American Padel Cup is set to take place in London, United Kingdom, on Friday and Saturday, October 10-11, 2025.  The event organizers have planned an outstanding weekend of competition and hospitality at Rocket Padel Beckton, a world-class padel club in East London.  Although this event is not sanctioned by the FIP or Padel America, this will be the first time the US and UK compete against each other in padel.  The Anglo American Padel Cup has been endorsed by the USPA and the LTA will be officiating the event.  The Anglo American Padel Cup promises to be the next chapter of the storied US versus UK sporting rivalry that includes Davis Cup tennis and Ryder Cup golf competitions.

The Anglo American Padel Cup will be a multi-generational team competition featuring four divisions of play for both Men and Women: Open, 40+, 50+, and 60+.  Those interested in representing the USA and being a part of this historic event should express their interest on this form and submit it no later than June 30.  Team selections will be made based on a combination of USPA Rankings, availability to play, commitment to padel and the USPA, and meeting all the eligibility requirements.

The Anglo American Padel Cup experience will include, at a minimum:

      • 3 official competition matches

      • Lunches on Friday and Saturday

      • Cocktail parties and light dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings, with an Awards Ceremony on Saturday night

    Eligibility Requirements

        • Be a United States Passport holder

        • Be a member of the USPA

        • Meet the age group requirement by being at least the age of the Age Group during the 2025 calendar year

        • Commit to arrive in London by Thursday, October 9, for an afternoon practice session.

        • Agree to the financial and travel commitments, which include: 1) booking and paying for your own travel and accommodations and 2) paying the Event Entry Fee, which is expected to not be more than $700 (to be determined and will be a function of sponsorship discussions currently underway).

        • Open division players are expected to have a substantially lower Entry Fee than Age Group division players.  Event organizers are working with sponsors to make the event free for Open Players and to reduce the Entry Fee as much as possible for all Age Group players.  No guarantees can be made at this point as discussions with potential sponsors are ongoing.
