USPA AND MIAMI PREMIER PADEL P1 ANNOUNCE WILD CARD TOURNAMENT FOR USA PLAYERS

American players will have the chance to compete on the world’s biggest padel stage!

The United States Padel Association (USPA) and Miami Premier Padel P1 are thrilled to announce the return of the USPA Wild Card Tournament, giving American players a direct pathway to compete at one of the most prestigious padel events on the planet.

The Wild Card Tournament will be held on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, at Urban Padel, located at 11601 NW 107th St., Doral, FL 33178, just days before the main event gets underway across the city at the Miami Beach Convention Centre.

An Opportunity Like No Other

Open to both men’s and women’s pairs, the Wild Card Tournament is restricted to USA passport holders, ensuring this is a dedicated opportunity for American talent to earn their place among the world’s elite. Seedings and draw selection will be based on each pair’s combined USPA ranking points, rewarding players who have put in the work on the national circuit.

Fernando Belasteguín, Tournament Director for the Miami Premier Padel P1 and the greatest player in the sport’s history, expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity the Wild Card Tournament offers.

“I am incredibly excited to support the growth of padel here in the United States, and this Wild Card Tournament is a perfect example of what that commitment looks like in action,” said Belasteguín. “These players have dedicated themselves to building their game and their careers, and giving them the chance to step onto the biggest stage in our sport, in front of a Miami crowd, is something I am very proud to be part of. This is how you grow a sport: by opening doors for the next generation.”

Juan Arraya, Chair of the USPA Competition Committee, echoed that excitement and highlighted what the partnership means for players across the country.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity for American padel players, and we couldn’t be more grateful,” said Arraya. “To compete on the same stage as the best players in the world, right here in the United States, is the kind of experience that defines careers. Through our partnership with Premier Padel, the USPA and our American players have been given something truly special, and I’m sure they will make the most of it.”
