RGV Padel Club in Mission wrapped a full week of Cupra FIP Tour action on Sunday, closing out FIP Silver McAllen, Texas, with two finals that split the difference between international pedigree and a big American breakthrough. In the men’s draw, top seeds Antonio Fernandez (ESP) and Leo “Tolito” Aguirre (ARG) held off a run from the number eight seeds to lift the trophy, while in the women’s draw, second seeds Brittany Dubins (USA) and Camila Ramme Coellar (MEX) knocked off the top seeds to take the title on home soil.

Women’s Draw: Dubins and Ramme Coellar Deny the Top Seeds

The women’s draw came down to a rematch of sorts at the top of the seeding, and it went the way of the Americans. Brittany Dubins and Camila Ramme Coellar, seeded second, worked past Nerea Derbis and Lorena Marruffo, then third seeds Aitana Garcia Roman and Ainize Santamaria Landa in straight sets, to reach the final.

Top seeds Carla Fernandez Gonzalez and Nerea Guerra Santana made their own case for the title, needing three sets to see off fourth seeds Lucia Perez Parra and Clarinha Santos in the semifinals, 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.

But Sunday belonged to Dubins and Ramme Coellar, who closed out the top seeds 6-4, 6-3 for the title. It’s the latest chapter in a big year for the pair, who arrived in McAllen already carrying three Cupra FIP Tour titles together in 2026 and back-to-back USA Padel 2000 wins domestically. The FIP Silver crown adds another line to what’s shaping up as American Brittany Dubin’s best season of her career. Already inside the top 80 of the FIP Rankings, this week should push her even higher. 

Men’s Draw: Fernandez and Aguirre Survive a Three-Set Final Against a Surging No. 8 Seed

Antonio Fernandez and Leonel Daniel Aguirre entered the week as the top seeds and never dropped a set until the final, working through Iker Leal Juarez and wild card Santiago Castro Varela, seventh seeds Juan Ignacio Franco and Aleix Pozo Rius, and fourth seeds Kevin Uriel Kviatkovski and Mateo Alvarez in straight sets to reach Sunday’s title match.

Waiting for them was one of the week’s best stories. Eighth seeds Ivo Andenmatten and Vinny Di Francesco, the reigning USA Padel 1000 champions at this very venue back in April, cut through the bottom half of the draw in dramatic fashion. After a straightforward win over Rafael Angel Estrella Melendez and Jeremie Euphrasie, the pair needed a first-set tiebreak to get past second seeds Diego Arredondo García and Agustín Torre in the quarterfinals, 7-6(5), 7-5, then backed it up with a semifinal win over third seeds Miguel Morales Domenech and Borja Trujillo Chang, to book their spot in the final.

The run came up just short against the top seeds. Fernandez and Aguirre dropped the first set 3-6 before finding their rhythm, closing out the final 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 to claim the title. It’s a signature result for Andenmatten and Di Francesco, nonetheless, a run through two seeded teams that continues to build the case for the Argentine-American pairing as one of the circuit’s most dangerous threats heading into the fall.

Elsewhere in the draw, Nico Agritelley and Sergio Conde Alba, fresh off their heartbreaking USA Padel 2000 final in Brooklyn, fell in the second round to third seeds Morales Domenech and Trujillo Chang, while wild card Santiago Castro Varela’s run ended in the first round against the eventual champions.

A Strong Week for American Padel

Beyond the finals, FIP Silver McAllen, Texas, delivered exactly what these Cupra FIP Tour stops are designed to do. American players logging rounds and ranking points against unfamiliar international competition, right in their own backyard. Between Andenmatten and Di Francesco’s run to the men’s final and Dubins and Ramme Coellar’s title in the women’s draw, it was a week that pushed the American padel storyline forward on both sides of the draw.
