ANGLO AMERICAN PADEL CUP 2ND EDITION TO BE HELD AT THE REPLAY CLUB – US TEAM APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN

The second version of The Anglo American Padel Cup is set to take place Thursday – Saturday, February 4-6, 2027 at The Replay Club in Boynton Beach, FL.  The Anglo American Padel Cup Management Team have planned an outstanding 3 days of competition and hospitality.  The second edition builds upon the inaugural version, featuring increased team sizes, more matches, and a new University category, in addition to the Open and Age Group Divisions.  Returning lead sponsors Playtomic and Babolat are joined by ETF manager Van Eck Global as the event’s main backers.  Although this event is not sanctioned by the FIP, Padel America, or USA Padel, it is endorsed by USA Padel. 

The Anglo American Padel Cup continues the storied US versus UK sporting rivalry that includes the Davis Cup tennis and Ryder and Walker Cup golf competitions among others.   

Like the inaugural event in London, The Anglo American Padel Cup will again be a true celebration of padel across generations.  The format will once again feature five Divisions of play for both Men and Women.  For Men: Open, 40+, 50+, 60+ – and University / For Women: Open, 40+, 50+ A, 50+ B. Each Division will be composed of 3 pairs (6 players).     

Those interested in representing the USA and being a part of this historic event should express their interest on this form and submit it no later than September 30.  Team selections will be made based on a combination of rankings, tournament play, commitment to padel and the USA Padel, and meeting all the eligibility requirements. 

The Anglo American Padel Cup experience will include:

  • 4 official competition matches – 3 in-Division and 1 in-Division Mixed Doubles
  • Team uniforms (4 T-shirts + 1 Hoodie)
  • Lunches on Friday and Saturday
  • Cocktail parties and light dinners on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with an Awards Ceremony on Saturday night
  • Full access to The Replay Club’s outstanding spa and wellness facilities
  • Prizes for overall winning team members and in-Division winning teams

Eligibility Requirements / Player Commitments

  • Be a United States Passport holder
  • Be a member of USA Padel
  • Meet the age group requirement by being at least the age of the Age Group during the 2027 calendar year (eg., if you are 39 in February of 2027 and turning 40 later in the year, you are eligible to play in the 40+ Division)
  • Commit to arriving at the event venue by 2PM on Thursday February 4 (Age Group matches will begin Thursday afternoon and Open matches will start on Friday morning)
  • Mandatory attendance at the Opening and Awards Ceremonies
  • Agree to the financial and travel commitments, which include: 1) booking and paying for your own travel and accommodations and 2) paying the Event Entry Fee of $350 for Age Group Players (entry fees are waived for Open and University Division players)
  • Although the Anglo American Padel Cup is endorsed by USA Padel, the USA team is not an Official USA Padel team, and all decisions regarding team selections and management are made by the Anglo American Padel Cup Management Team.
