Nine American pairs punched their tickets to the Miami Premier Padel P1 after two days of competitive padel at Urban Padel in Doral, Florida. The USPA Wild Card Tournament, held March 19 and 20, produced its results: three men’s pairs and one women’s pair earned direct entry into the main draw, while five additional pairs claimed qualifying spots.
The Men’s Draw
The top-seeded pair, Vinny Di Francesco and Nico Agritelley, progressed through the draw to claim one of the two men’s main draw wild cards.
Matias Segura and Aaron Segura faced a tough challenge in the semi-finals before prevailing over Jose De Armas and Raul Ruiz 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. The Segura cousins earned their spot in the main draw of Miami Premier Padel P1 for the second straight year.
The third main draw wild card went toFelipe Osses-Konig and Chris Humphreys, who defeated Raul Ruiz and Jose De Armas in a tough playoff match.
For their efforts, Ruiz and De Armas did earn a spot in the qualifying draw. While the pairings of Daniel Fernandez and Cole Fiegel, Radu Ionescu, and Will Agritelley rounded out the qualifying spots, sending a record six American men’s pairs to compete at the Miami Beach Convention Center, which gets underway on March 22.
The Women’s Draw
Marta Morga and Brittany Dubins won the women’s wild card, earning direct entry into the Miami Premier Padel P1 main draw. The pair, who made history at last year’s event as the first American women to compete on a Premier Padel P1 court, return to that stage in 2026.
Sofia Adamowich, Egle Petrauskaite, and Clementina Riobueno, Dhany Quevedo also secured women’s qualifying wild cards, rounding out the American contingent, giving the United States three pairs in contention on the women’s side.
What Comes Next
The Miami Premier Padel P1 main draw begins March 23 at the Miami Beach Convention Center and runs through March 29. The men’s draw features 40 pairs; the women’s draw has 28 pairs. The tournament brings together the world’s highest-ranked players competing for official Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour ranking points.
