ORNELLA BELTRAMINO

RISING STAR: ORNELLA BELTRAMINO LEADS THE NEXT GENERATION OF U.S. PADEL

At just 12 years old, Ornella Beltramino is already setting new benchmarks for junior padel in the United States and around the world. Based in Miami, Florida, she has quickly emerged as one of the brightest young talents in the sport, blending her early passion, strong family roots, and international success into a remarkable journey that inspires players across the country.

From Miami Courts to the World Stage

Born into a padel family, her parents opened one of the first padel clubs in the United States in 2009, Ornella grew up surrounded by the sport. After initially playing tennis, she made the decision at age nine to dedicate herself entirely to padel.

“I was raised on the padel court,” Ornella said. “When I saw my mom playing and my dad training, I wanted to do the same. At nine years old, I told them I wanted to focus on padel because I had a different passion for it.”

Today, she trains in both Miami, under the guidance of her father, a former professional padel player and fitness coach, and in Spain, with Claudio Gilardoni, the coach of world number two Paula Josemaría. Her favorite club, she says without hesitation, is Reserve Sole Mia in Miami, a home base where she balances training, school, and competition.

Dominating the FIP Promises Circuit

This past summer, Ornella’s dedication translated into global success. Competing across Europe on the FIP Promises U14 Circuit, while still 12 years old, she achieved a string of standout performances that propelled her to the No. 1 ranking in the world among under-14 girls by the end of the summer.

Tournament Highlights:

  • 🏆 FIP Promises Valladolid – Champion
  • 🏆 FIP Promises Alicante – Champion
  • 🏆 FIP Promises Burgos – Champion
  • 🏆 FIP Promises El Prat Barcelona – Champion
  • 🏆 FIP Promises El Lisbon – Champion
  • 🏅 FIP Promises Málaga – Quarterfinalist

These victories marked a breakthrough summer for the U.S. junior padel athlete on the international stage, establishing Ornella as one of the top emerging players in global competition.

Representing the USA

In September 2025, Ornella represented the United States at the FIP Junior World Cup in Costa Daurada, Spain, playing in the U14 division. Alongside partner Emma Cantu, the duo went undefeated in team competition, defeating Ecuador 6–2, 6–1 and Venezuela 6–3, 6–0.

Climbing the USPA Circuit

Domestically, Ornella has already made her mark on the USPA Circuit. After winning her debut tournament, the Padel X Open USPA 750  in Division 2, she immediately transitioned into Division 1, where she has already reached both a quarterfinal and a final.

With only three tournaments played, Ornella is already ranked No. 86 in the USPA Open Women’s Rankings, with the potential to climb much higher as she is yet to complete a full season.

Focused on the Future

Off the court, Ornella is grounded, motivated, and mature beyond her years. She discusses warm-ups, music, and mindset as key elements to staying focused, and she cites her professional idols, Paula Josemaría and Bea González, as players she models her game after.

Her work ethic and humility continue to earn her praise from coaches and peers alike. With support from sponsors including Reserve, Tru Bar, and Head, Ornella is well-equipped to continue her growth on the national and international stage.

“The future is bright for Ornella and for U.S. padel,” said USA Junior Team Coach Lorena Rouilllon. “Her results are proof of what’s possible when talent and dedication meet opportunity, and her passion and commitment embody the values we want every young player to aspire to.”

Looking Ahead

As she continues to train and compete across the U.S. and Europe, Ornella Beltramino represents more than a promising player; she is one of the first generation of players in the U.S. that is growing up with padel as their first love and primary athletic focus. Her passion, professionalism, and results at such a young age reflect a growing generation that aspires to compete at the highest level.

For Ornella, the goal is clear: keep learning, keep improving, and keep inspiring.

“I love padel because it’s fun, it’s fast, and it brings people together,” she said. “I just want to keep playing and see how far I can go.”
