The stage is set for the ultimate showdown in American padel. The Nox USPA Circuit Championships, the crown jewel of the season, have arrived, bringing together the absolute elite of the sport for one final, high-stakes battle.
To be held indoors at Urban Padel in Doral, Florida, the season-ending masterpiece is where the top eight pairs from the Men’s and Women’s Nox USPA Circuit rankings descend on the courts to decide who truly rules the American circuit. The Format: Survive and Advance
The stakes could not be higher, and the format is designed to test both consistency and nerve. The eight qualifying teams in each division are split into two groups of four for round-robin play.
Only the top two teams from each group will survive the gauntlet. From there, it’s a crossover knockout: the Group A winners will face the Group B runners-up (and vice-versa) in the semifinals, setting up a winner-takes-all Final for the championship title.
Women’s Division: A Collision Course at the Top
The headline story in the women’s draw is a potential clash of eras and styles, centered on the top two seeds.
The Unstoppable Force: Anna Cortiles and Luicelena Perez have been nothing short of a juggernaut this season. Their partnership has produced unprecedented success, racking up wins with a chemistry that seems almost telepathic. They are the team to beat, the standard-bearers of the 2025 circuit, and they arrive with a target squarely on their backs.
The International Threat: Looming as the #2 seeds are Brittany Dubins and Marta Morga. Dubins, the former USPA Circuit #1, has played a limited domestic schedule this year, choosing instead to sharpen her skills against the world’s best on the international stage. Having broken into the top 100 of the FIP rankings, she returns to US soil alongside her frequent USA National teammate, Morga.
The narrative is irresistible: The domestic dominators (Cortiles/Perez) versus the internationally battle-hardened stars (Dubins/Morga). If the seeds hold, their meeting in the final could be the match of the year.
Big-Match Ready Duos: Beyond the top seeds, the draw features dangerous pairings forged in the fires of major tournaments. Egle Petrauskaite and Clementina Riobueno are a duo to watch closely. Having teamed up recently at the US Open Championships, they bring big-match experience and high individual rankings that make them a threat to upset any group.
Similarly, Astrid Gehre and Bego Benjumeda reunite after their run at the US Open. Gehre’s high ranking and steady hand, combined with their shared court time at the year’s most significant events, make them a formidable obstacle for any team looking to reach the semis.
Men’s Division: The Great Shuffle
While the women’s draw features established dominance, the men’s division is defined by a thrilling “shake-up.” The theme here is new alliances. High-ranking players have split from their usual partners specifically for this finale, adding a layer of unpredictability to the group stages.
New Blood and Veteran Grit: The most intriguing new duo features Octavio Alvarez and Juan Manuel “Guga” Vazquez. Alvarez has been a revelation this year, rocketing to the number two ranking in his debut season on the circuit. For the finals, he joins forces with “Guga,” the wily Argentinian veteran ranked number three in the USPA and a former number one. It is a classic “youth meets experience” pairing: Alvarez’s explosive athleticism paired with Guga’s tactical mastery.
The Power Pair: A formidable new alliance emerges as the current USPA Circuit number one and also a rookie this season, Vinny Di Francesco, teams up with Jose Carlos Gaspar. While Gaspar’s ranking may be lower, his pedigree is undeniable, and he is fresh off a victory at the US Open this year. Combining the circuit’s top-ranked player with the two-time US Open champion makes them an instant threat for the title.
The Chemistry Kings: Standing in the way of these new super-teams are the pairs who have been in the trenches together all year. Luis Estrada and Daniel Diaz bring the advantage of a season’s worth of shared match play; they know each other’s moves inside out. Similarly, Pedro Alonso and Jacobo Blanco are a seasoned, dangerous duo who have played together extensively. In a tournament where pressure can break up new partnerships, their established chemistry could be the deciding factor.
National Team Chemistry & Major Winners: Two other new pairings bring unique advantages to the court. Nico Agritelley and Raul Ruiz may be a new partnership for this tournament, but their chemistry is already proven; they are teammates on the US National Team. Expect them to gel faster than other new teams, leveraging their national service experience to outmaneuver opponents.
Meanwhile, Matias Segura teams up with Sergio Conde in a partnership that screams danger. Segura has been the “Major Hunter” of 2025, bagging two massive titles this year at the Padel X USPA 2000 and Padel 39 USPA 2000. If he can transfer that big-stage magic to his partnership with Conde, they could be the dark horses of the tournament.
The Verdict
The groups are set, the lines are drawn, and the best padel players in the country are ready. The storylines are captivating: Will the established chemistry of the season’s leaders hold firm, or will the flashy new teams steal the glory?
