The United States Padel Association (USPA) is proud to announce the launch of the Junior Elite Padel Program, presented by Padel X, the first USPA-sanctioned junior academy in the country.
This exclusive program will select up to eight highly motivated boys and girls, ages 12–18, who are passionate about padel and committed to developing their game at the highest level. The goal is clear: prepare the next generation of U.S. padel athletes to compete nationally, internationally, and ultimately, to represent the United States on the world stage.
“The Junior Elite Program represents a turning point for U.S. padel. By giving our most committed juniors the resources, structure, and guidance they need, we’re laying the foundation for future U.S. champions. It’s not just about creating better players, it’s about building role models who will carry American padel forward for years to come.” Nallé Grinda, Founder of Padel X
The Junior Elite Program is designed to achieve the long-term goal of developing the next generation of U.S. players who can make an impact on the U.S. National Teams within the next five years, while also creating a pathway for junior athletes to train like professionals. Padel is anticipated to make its Olympic debut in 2032, and this Junior Elite Padel Program is a step forward in the journey to compete at that elite level.
The program will be led by Padel X Co-Founder and former professional padel player Nallé Grinda, alongside Lorena & Jaume Rouillon, U.S. Boys’ and Girls’ Junior National Team Coaches, and the Core Fitness Team, led by Andy Luaces.
The weekly program includes on-court and off-court training for at least eight hours each week, tournament play, and mental skills training. For the eight selected players, a monthly fee of $200 will be applied. This heavily subsidized program represents a significant financial commitment from Padel X in the future of US junior padel.
Padel X has also committed to hosting training camps during the summer and school holidays, ensuring that players living outside of South Florida will also have the opportunity to train at the Junior Elite Padel Program.
Aspiring junior players must submit their applications for selection by October 6th.
