TWO HISTORIC CUPRA FIP EVENTS ARRIVE IN THE USA

For the first time in history, the CUPRA FIP Tour will stage multiple tournaments in the United States, marking a significant milestone in the growth of American padel. This October, Austin and San Diego will host international events, offering U.S. players a chance to compete for FIP world ranking points without leaving home.

The CUPRA FIP Tour, organized by the International Padel Federation (FIP), sits just below the elite Premier Padel circuit and is designed to give professional players opportunities to gain experience, earn prize money, and climb the world rankings. Events are graded from Bronze to Platinum, with higher categories offering more prize money and ranking points.

Austin: FIP Bronze Padel 39 Grand Prix (Oct. 8–10)

The U.S. debut takes place in Austin, Texas, where Padel 39, a USPA Premier Club, will host the FIP Bronze Padel 39 Grand Prix from October 8–10.

San Diego: FIP Silver at Padel N9NE (Oct. 29 – Nov. 2)

Later in the month, the circuit moves west to California for the FIP Silver San Diego, hosted by Padel N9NE, another USPA Premier Club.

The FIP Silver San Diego Wild Card Chase will be held at Padel N9NE October 18-19, providing an opportunity for players of all levels to earn a place to compete in the FIP Silver from October 29 to November 2. The Wild Card Chase will award a main draw wild card to the champion pair and qualifying draw wildcards to the finalist and semi-finalist teams.

Players can enter the wildcard chase here.

Why These Events Matter

Until now, U.S.-based athletes seeking FIP points have largely had to travel to Europe or Latin America. These October tournaments change that dynamic, bringing international-standard events to American clubs for the first time.

  • Ranking Points at Home: A chance for U.S. players to earn world ranking points without costly overseas trips.
  • International Exposure: Both events are expected to attract strong international fields, giving domestic players valuable experience against global competition.
  • Club Development: Hosting Bronze and Silver events at USPA Premier Clubs reinforces their commitment to growing padel at all levels in the United States.

Looking Ahead

For players, the opportunity is immediate: compete against international talent, earn FIP ranking points, and take part in a piece of history as the CUPRA FIP Tour lands in the U.S. for the very first time. Aspiring players should email info@padelusa.org to request a wildcard.
