US NATIONAL SENIOR PADEL TEAM FINISHED THIRD AT PAN AMERICAN SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

The US National Senior Padel Team delivered a standout performance at the Pan American Senior Games, held from December 4th to 6th, 2025, in Asuncion, Paraguay. Facing stiff competition from across the Americas, the American squad secured six medals and a podium finish in the overall standings.

In a display of depth across age categories, the USA finished third overall, tying with Chile with a total of 304 points. The team’s success was anchored by dominant performances in both the Men’s and Women’s categories.

The US National Padel Teams are proudly supported by Bullpadel, VanEck, Padel Haus, Padelmba, Chosen Foods, and Bullpadel – The official ball of the USPA.

Golden Performances

The USA’s medal haul was led by a sweep in the finals of four Women’s categories and a gold medal in the Men’s 40 C category. An additional silver medal in the Men’s 35 C completed a historic evening on the final night of the tournament. 

“The spirit within this team is building something truly special,” said Coach Angel Espadas. “This is only the beginning,  our dreams have no limits. One day, I hope to see the Stars and Stripes standing at the top of the World Championships.”

One of the defining moments of the championships came during the Saturday evening finals, where the U.S. delegation created an atmosphere unlike anything seen at previous Pan American Senior events. Although not all team members were competing in the final matches, every American player became part of the effort, filling the stands with chants, songs, and music that energized the court and uplifted their teammates. Their collective support transformed the venue into a festive, electric environment, showcasing the unity, pride, and camaraderie that have become hallmarks of the U.S. National Senior Team. The spirit on display not only motivated the athletes on court but also left a lasting impression on fellow delegations and tournament organizers. The spectators volume and energy increased as the matches progressed and the USA players fought their to way to a record five gold medals. 

Men’s 

  • Male 40 C: The duo of Francois Castejon and Scott Lippit battled their way to the top of the podium, securing the gold medal for the USA.
  • Male 35 C: Represented by Alvaro Baez and Matthew Hickey made the finals of the highly competitive 35 C division and secured a silver medal.

Women’s The US National Senior Women’s Padel Team proved to be a powerhouse in Paraguay, capturing four of the team’s five gold medals:

  • Female 35 B: Maria Aviles and Desiree Seilhamer displayed exceptional teamwork to claim the gold.
  • Female 40 B: The pairing of Liz Cruz and Mirian Cruz dominated their bracket to take home the top prize.
  • Female 50 A: In the senior A-level competition, veterans Nancy Dingwall and Veronica Costabel showcased their experience and skill, winning gold.
  • Female 55: Completing the gold rush, Ana Magrini and Lisa Teer defeated their opponents to secure the title in the 55+ category.

Final Standings

The collective effort of the squad earned the United States a prestigious spot on the overall podium.

  • Total Gold Medals: 5 – 2nd most overall.
  • Overall Position: 3rd Place

The event in Paraguay marked another successful chapter for the US National Senior Padel Team, proving the nation’s growing competitiveness on the international stage.
