The FIP Promises tour is adding a new stop on the West Coast. Park Padel in South San Francisco will host FIP Promises San Francisco from August 28 to 30, 2026, bringing another international junior event to American courts and another chance for U.S. players to earn ranking points against competition from outside the country. Players can register here.Â
Tournament details
The event runs across three days at Park Padel’s indoor courts. Play is scheduled to begin Friday, August 28, with the tournament concluding on Sunday, August 30. The venue has four match courts and two practice courts. The draws are open to both female and male juniors in U14, U16, and U18 categories, with players able to enter their own age group and the one above.
Jessica Talbert of Park Padel is the tournament director. “There is no doubt that juniors are the future of padel in the US – by hosting a FIP-sanctioned junior tournament, we’re making a commitment to the local community and the US in general to realizing that vision. San Francisco has a growing junior scene, and now those players get a chance to compete against international opponents without leaving the state.”
Ranking points on the line
FIP Promises exist to connect junior players with the global game, and points earned in San Francisco will count toward the FIP Promises Americas rankings, the same rankings that feed into national team selection. The U.S. has hosted FIP Promises events in Illinois, Texas, and Florida already this year. Adding San Francisco puts a West Coast city on that list for the first time in 2026, and it gives American juniors one more data point on how they stack up against players from other countries before the FIP Junior World Championships later in the year.
Registration
Registration is a multi-step process, and the deadline is August 11th; however, players are strongly encouraged to register before August 4th to ensure they can complete all requirements before the deadline.
