PADEL N9NE USHERS IN A NEW ERA FOR U.S. PADEL WITH USPA-ENDORSED AFP COURTS

With the recent opening of Padel N9NE in San Diego, the country now boasts its first adidas padel flagship facility. This launch not only marks a major milestone for Southern California but sets a precedent for premium padel club development nationwide.

Located at the San Diego Tech Center by Alexandria, Padel N9NE features eight USPA-endorsed adidas 165 MPH panoramic padel courts, specially engineered by AFP Courts to meet U.S. building standards, including wind-load requirements for coastal and high-exposure areas. These courts are structurally reinforced, weather-adapted, and fully aligned with USPA specifications, underscoring the association’s commitment to growing padel safely and sustainably across the country.

Padel N9NE is exactly the kind of facility that shows what’s possible when innovation, quality, and federation standards come together,” said Mon Garrés, marketing director at AFP Courts. “We’re proud to manufacture and install the courts on this project and excited about the impact it will have on the sport’s future in the U.S.”

Built for American Conditions

AFP Courts, an internationally recognized leader in court engineering, custom-built all eight courts at Padel N9NE specifically for U.S. wind environments. The adidas 165 MPH model includes shatter-resistant glass, enhanced anchoring systems, and a hurricane-resilient steel structure, key features that make it ideal for projects from California to Florida.

With panoramic sightlines and top-tier playability, the courts also offer a spectator-friendly setup perfect for hosting major events.

A Destination for Competition and Community

Padel N9NE is not just about play, it’s about the full experience. The facility features stadium seating, concierge services, a future luxury clubhouse, and a wellness partnership with Exos, giving P9+ members access to elite-level training and recovery. Its location in Sorrento Valley, one of San Diego’s most dynamic business districts, places it in a unique position to draw interest from both recreational players and corporate communities.

On-site dining options and outdoor lounge areas round out the lifestyle-forward vision that aligns with the global evolution of padel clubs.

Tournaments on the Horizon

As part of the USPA tournament circuit, Padel N9NE hosted multiple sanctioned events in 2025, including:

  • USPA 750 + RedPadel Summer Circuit (August 8–10)
  • FIP Silver San Diego (October 27 – November 2)

These events promise to bring top-tier talent to San Diego and provide a showcase for the competitive potential of U.S. padel.

A Model for Future Facilities

Padel N9NE proves that world-class padel can be built on American soil without compromise. With USPA-backed courts and an infrastructure-first approach, the club sets a new benchmark for how to grow the sport responsibly, attractively, and at scale.

For developers, architects, and community planners, this project is a roadmap. And for AFP Courts, it’s another proud step in their mission to bring global padel excellence to American players.
