The USA Padel Senior National Championships will take place July 17-18, 2026, bringing together some of the country’s top senior padel talent across five competitive divisions. Sanctioned by the USA Padel, the event will crown national champions in Men’s 35+, Men’s 45+, Men’s 55+, Women’s 45+, and Women’s 55+ categories.
A Deep Field Across the Board
The tournament has drawn strong participation, with the Men’s 55+ category standing out as the largest field, featuring 30 players competing for the national title. The depth of the draw reflects the growing popularity of senior padel competition in the United States.
The other divisions, Men’s 35+, Men’s 45+, Women’s 45+, and Women’s 55+, round out a packed weekend of competitive senior padel, each featuring its own mix of experienced pairs vying for national recognition. In total, the championships have drawn 54 players across all five divisions.
Men’s 55+: The Marquee Division
With 15 pairs entered, the Men’s 55+ bracket is the most heavily contested division of the championships. Leading the seeding is the pairing of Javier Maldonado and Gabriel Sanchez Iniesta, who enter as the No. 1 seed. The duo has a previous history with the No. 2 seed, Mehdi Alami and Claudio Lopez: at last year’s USA Padel Age Group National Championships in Magnolia, Texas, the two pairs met in a tense three-set final, with Maldonado and Sanchez Iniesta prevailing in a super tiebreak. The No. 3 seed, Larry Pascal and KC Kadow, brings a notable pedigree to the draw: Pascal has represented the United States on the international stage, including the FIP World Senior Championships in Alicante, Spain, where he served as flag bearer for the US National Team, and was ranked the No. 1 U.S. player in his age bracket in 2023. Rounding out the top seeds, Eric Zolnosky and Maurice Ruah enter as the No. 4 seed, with Zolnosky bringing international experience of his own after competing on the U.S. men’s roster at the 2024 Pan American Senior Championships in Argentina. Outside of the seeds, there are two very dangerous teams worth watching: Ron Bobman and Argentinian padel legend Robbie Gattiker competing on the circuit for the first time together, and Jared Palmer, a regular on the circuit, competing with his former US Open Tennis partner Alex O’Brien. With a strong 15-pair field, the Men’s 55+ draw promises competitive, closely fought matches from the opening round through to the final.
